| Dieting becomes an addiction that is fuelled by the highs of losing weight and the lows of quickly putting it back on again. The reason what they are ineffective at keeping the weight off is because the way they are designed. Even when people have successfully lost weight they soon put it back on again shortly after they have finished their diet.
When this happens most people go onto the next diet and the same results happen again and the cycle continues. However, what I cannot seem to work out is, if diets are so popular why are so many people getting fatter. I soon realised that diets do not work. The point that I am making is that diets do not work when it comes to keeping the weight off. There have been diets that people have used and have successfully lost weight. A diet lasts for a fixed period of time and then once the diet has run its course, that is it.
I am not saying that some diets will not be successful at making you lose weight. This creates the need to chase after the next fad diet in the hope that this will solve the problem. Dieting has been around for a long time and is as popular as ever. |
